Just as the pick was an indispensable tool in traditional mining plants, a modern miner is lost in the Hashtrend ecosystem without this system. The little box is an important joining piece between the ASICs and the software suite. As soon as an ASIC connected to this box is booted, all relevant data is collected and it will assign an exact location. A Unique-ID is created using a simple label printer and applied directly to the ASIC.

The system collects all important data from the connected ASIC and instantly transmits these to the software suite. Here, the information is stored safely and can be displayed in the miner’s dashboard. The data transfer is a completely automated process – the miner does not need to add any information manually.

The system will create a Unique-ID for each individual ASIC: a sticker with a QR code and a particular number that adheres to the chip. The Unique-ID contains the relevant characteristics and a precise location. When problems occur that cannot be solved automatically by other components of the Hashtrend ecosystem, the Unique-ID allows for a quick and easy localization – even in larger mining operations.

Whilst the software monitors every mining machine running in the farm from its initial installation up to its decommissioning, the data collection system will also keep an eye on the available spaces in the mining farm. When old ASICs are removed, it will assign the free spots to compatible new machines. This way, the combined space in the colocation is always used in the most efficient possible way. The replacement of machines is automatically communicated to the software, which will update the information shown in the dashboard.
